HR Corner: Working Remotely Survey, Personal and Professional Wellness

On Tuesday afternoon, all VIU employees received an email from Dan VanderSluis, Associate-Vice President, Human Resources about a survey on working remotely. Please be sure to fill out the survey by the deadline - June 30, 2020. The survey is anonymous and each employee received a unique link, so find an email from Dan VanderSluis, which arrived on Tuesday, June 9 at 4:36 pm titled Your Employee Insights - Working Remotely to complete it.

A wide variety of resources is available to VIU employees to help us promote and improve our personal and professional wellness. The recognition of stress in times of uncertainty is an important first step in ensuring mental and physical health receives the required attention to maintain personal wellness. Homewood Health provides a broad range of articles on everything from personal care while being a caregiver, to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, to possibilities for self-care. There are also courses on on depression and anxiety and taking control of stress. Visit the Homewood Health homepage to login or create your account, which is available to all VIU employees.
