HR Corner: 30-Day Mindfulness Challenge Starts in October

After a successful introduction last fall, the 30-Day Mindfulness Challenge by Mindwell U is set to start again at the beginning of October. Those who have completed the training report a better ability to concentrate, deal with challenges, stay calm and are able to stay more present during their work days.

Please read the information below and sign up!

This online training is just five minutes a day, anytime, anywhere and on any computer or smart device, yet it’s proven by UBC’s Sauder School of Business to lower stress, increase resilience, improve teamwork, and strengthen leadership skills. The Challenge also teaches ‘mindfulness-in-action’ so people don’t need to stop what they are doing to become calmer, present and more focused, all of which lead to a happier, healthier work environment.

Please watch this short video to learn more about the Challenge. VIU will be joining organizations including UBC, Royal Roads, University of Ottawa, and Memorial University that have realized the benefits of this program.

Registration

Please register for the Challenge using your preferred email address. You will also have the option to invite a buddy to take the Challenge with you. During the registration process, you’ll be asked to input your mobile number and your ‘buddy’s’ email address (everyone in the Challenge gets to take it with one buddy of their choice, including family or friends from outside the organization).

You will have access to the Challenge and its content until October 2019, so we encourage you to take it and refer back to the content regularly to help keep the learning and benefits alive.

If you have any questions about the 30 Day Mindfulness Challenge or need any help registering, please email challenge@mindwellu.com and the Challenge tech team will get back to you.
