Each year, Vancouver Island University's Provost, Dr. Carol Stuart, announces the winners of the Provost's Awards for Excellence in Teaching Design and Practise. These individuals push the boundaries of what great teaching is. They have a sharp focus on what President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ralph Nilson calls the most important relationship at VIU - that of the student and instructor. Congratulations to:

Congratulations to Dan Hurley

Dan Hurley, Acting Director of Communications and Public Engagement, was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax for a four-year term.

Vancouver Island University is happy to announce the inaugural Access & Inclusion Award. This award recognizes individuals in our community who have made VIU a more accessible and inclusive place for persons with disabilities. Architecture Award 

VIU won a Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) Award for Centre for Health & Science Building in the institutional category. Read more about the awards here. Congratulations to everyone who helped to make the Centre for Health & Science such an innovative space for teaching, learning and research.
