Back by Popular Demand: Work Well-being Practices

Zoom fatigue

This time of year is traditionally busy at VIU, throw a pandemic in the mix and it can get overwhelming quickly. With that in mind, we wanted to remind everyone about the work-related well-being practices the Human Resources Department shared in the summer. While it can be hard to stick to these guidelines, we encourage everyone to do their best and help mitigate Zoom-fatigue and email overload. You’ll find the full details on the HR webpage on well-being practices.

In summary these practices include:

1. No evening or weekend emails unless critical

3. Anti-Zoom-Fatigue meeting scheduling

4. Concluding meetings by 4 pm whenever possible
